Something that has been on my mind lately, especially as I start this new business adventure, is a simple question:
Why not?
Why not start the business? Why not chase something you’ve dreamed about? Why not step outside of your comfort zone?
Those who know me know that I’ve been a jack-of-all-trades for basically my entire life. Something in my soul craves exploring everything this world has to offer. Hence the many hobbies, passions, and side quests.
From barrel racing to riding jumpers, walking in Fashion Week as a model, photography, traveling, and even learning to play an instrument at 32… you name it.
So when the idea of starting a business again crept from the back of my mind to the very front, there was a little voice in my head that kept shouting:
“WHY NOT?”
Of course, my insecurities tried to hush it with all the usual lies.
“The market is saturated.”
“Surely this won’t work.”
“You’re already so busy.”
Blah, blah, blah.
Well, thank God the little voice shouting from the rooftops was louder. Much louder.
I’m genuinely so excited to share this chapter with you, whether you’re here as a reader, a customer, a friend, or simply someone following along.
My goal with Sky Dog is to blend all of my worlds into one, and I have a really good feeling about where it’s headed.
And even if it were to fail, which I don’t plan on letting happen, I can at least say that I answered the question “Why not?” with positivity, excitement, courage, and gratitude.
So, friend, if there’s something you’ve dreamed about doing…

We only get this one life. Enjoy it fully. Explore what interests you. Chase the things that excite you. Take the chance while you can.
I hope this blog post sparks a little fire in you. I know I’ve had friends who have lit that same fire in me, and I hope I can pass a little bit of it along to someone else.
